Creating a Thriving Container Garden Workshops at “Gardening for Body and Soul” with Gardener Brigitte Hartmann.
People with limited space or a desire to keep their planting in control use containers. There are secrets to a garden that achieves amazing crop diversity, resilience, and natural productivity in containers. Learn what materials you need. Learn about ‘Hügelkultur’ and why everyone is talking about it. Hear about plant selection, spacing, and when to plant, using the moon phases to your advantage. This workshop takes place in a small garden exploding with colors and tastes. It began just six years ago, from overgrown bittersweet and poison ivy to become a literal oasis for insects, critters, veggies, berries, and flowers.
This Eastham Garden Tour workshop is a philanthropic initiative to benefit the Local Journalism Project, a 501c3 non-profit organization.
