Cape Rep Theatre will be holding open auditions for The Real Inspector Hound by Tom Stoppard, directed by Holly Erin McCarthy. In The Real Inspector Hound, Tony and Academy award-winning playwright Tom Stoppard has crafted a witty and gripping tale in which identity is as variable as a mustache. Available Roles and Character Breakdown: MOON – Second string theater critic of a major newspaper in London. Ambitious but insecure. BIRDBOOT – First string theater critic with the “other” major London paper. Has a bit of an ego. Married but a womanizer. MRS. DRUDGE – The dutiful maid who sees and hears everything that goes on in Muldoon Manor. SIMON GASCOYNE – Young, dashing, self-absorbed, flirty. FELICITY CUNNINGHAM – Young, very attractive, enjoys tennis, Cynthia’s friend. CYNTHIA MULDOON – The Lady of the Manor and wife of the missing Albert Muldoon. She is wealthy, upper class, beautiful. MAJOR MAGNUS MULDOON – The half-brother of Albert Muldoon. Or is he? INSPECTOR HOUND – A Holmes-like detective. Or is he? Personnel in attendance: Janine M.
