Cape Symphony is delighted to return to the shores of Salt Pond in Eastham for “Symphony at the Seashore,” an outdoor, fun-filled Pops concert at 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 24, 2023. This is the sixth annual symphony performance at the Cape Cod National Seashore. The concert features Cape Symphony’s principal musicians and special guest vocalists who are well-known on the Cape music scene: Mozelle Andrulot, who grew up in Eastham, and Ella Mae Dixon, originally from Wellfleet. The program includes beloved American classics “Fly Me to the Moon,” “Fascinating Rhythm,” and “I Left My Heart in San Francisco.” The concert is free and open to the public. Salt Pond Visitor Center is at 50 Nauset Road in Eastham. Outdoor bench and lawn seating are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The amphitheater is wheelchair accessible. Free parking shuttle service will be provided to and from the event from the Little Creek parking area on Doane Road. Handicap accessible parking is available at Salt Pond Visitor Center on a first come, first served basis. Picnicking is welcome. There is no food for sale; a bottle filling station is available for water. Pre-concert family games will be offered from 6:00 to 6:45 pm. Attendees are encouraged to bring bug spray and flashlights for ease in returning to vehicles. Pets are not permitted. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held on Friday, August 25, and announcements will be made via social media on Thursday morning.
