As part of our TENT Talk series, on Tuesday, August 8, Dr. Barry Zuckerman and facilitator Scott Sherman will discuss the dramatic changes in child rearing attitudes and practices including theories behind changes over past 100 years in US and globally– and what this says about our present and future. About Barry: Barry Zuckerman, MD is professor and Chair Emeritus of Pediatrics at Boston University School of Medicine. He and colleagues developed pediatric programs that were disseminated nationally to address the needs of low income children and families– Reach Out and Read, Medical Legal Partnership, Health Leads, Healthy Steps, and most recently, Moments Big Impact. He has published over 200 research articles, provided national and international consultation, and has won numerous awards. About Scott: Scott Sherman is a lawyer by training who gave up the practice of law many years ago and has enjoyed a varied career since: in business journalism, academic medicine, and financial services. He's served on the board of or as a pro bono consultant to many non-profit organizations in fields such as mentoring, responsible fatherhood, and health care. He’s called Wellfleet his summer home for nearly 40 years.
