The Nauset Artisan Fair has sprung from the need for financial help for after school clubs & activities at NRHS. The 2017 Fair was able to raise and donate, after expenses, approximately $3000 to Nauset’s Human Rights Academy. The HRA collaborated with a Haitian youth group (called AJMPD/ Matenwa Youth Association for Development) in the village of Matenwa. AJMPD does outreach to bring children back into school who are at risk of being consumed by the slave trade. NHRA also bought backpacks & uniforms for Haitian children to go to school as well as donated money for beds in an orphanage in Matenwa.
