MEET SUE DAHLING SULLIVAN, Chief Strategic Officer & ArtWeek Lead Champion
Sue is eager to present to our businesses, organizations and enterprises to share the excitement and details of how you and/or your business can get involved. Sue has been doing these Information Sessions across the state from Plymouth to Boston to the North Shore, Western and Central Massachusetts. We are thrilled to have her visit us in Orleans.
ArtWeek is an impressive, state-wide festival that is presented by Highland Street Foundation and produced by the Boch Center. This is an opportunity for all businesses to get creative and explore opportunities to incorporate art into their operation. It’s also a great way to take advantage of no-cost marketing to promote your business in a fun and positive way. Last year, “Art of Food” was one focus and allowed restaurants to create a dish based on artistic inspiration. This could be influenced by a song, painting, performance, author, etc.
ArtWeek is calling for unique experiences that are hands-on, interactive or offer behind-the-scenes access to arts, culture, and the creative economy. This year, the award-winning festival will be held May 1-10, and is joined by Mass Cultural Council and Mass Office of Travel and Tourism as lead champions. ArtWeek has worked with all kinds of partners who have offered 1,000+ events to adults and children of all ages and backgrounds since 2013. Click here for 15 different genre/type “inspiration example” sheets. It is free, easy, and inspiring to be part of this innovative festival –so think about how you can help spotlight our Creative Commonwealth!
