Please consider posting this fun spring event on your website! Guglielmo Marconi’s birthday is April 25th. The old towers at Marconi Beach are long gone, lost to the sea. However, its history lives on down Route 28 at the Chatham Maritime Museum Center! Chatham Marconi Maritime Center announces its second annual outdoor challenge activity for everyone who is ready to get outside, get going and celebrate Spring 2022. The Antenna Trail Challenge 2 (ATC 2) is a virtual event designed to encourage all types of participation by all types of people. Completing one of the three ATC challenge distances, using any form of motion, in any location during the April 25 to May 1 window, qualifies entrants for prize drawings on May 2. Prizes include an Apple Watch, iPad, Cape Air tickets, Art’s Dune Tour tickets, Monomoy Seal Tour tickets, and gift cards for Cape restaurants among others. The general public is invited to join Chatham Marconi members for the Antenna Trail Challenge to have some fun and support Cape Cod’s Chatham Marconi Maritime Center. COVID severely impacted the last two seasons and fundraising for the Center where museum and educational programs promote knowledge of communication technology from Marconi’s spark to modern wireless.
